Now ain't that Summit?

Infinity's very own adventurer completes mountainous challenge for charity.

Infinity Kit's Mountain Challenge
Father of three and avid adventurer, Kit Smith, recently took part in the Adidas Skaala Uphill race with support from Infinity to raise money for the PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) Association and Stonegate C of E Primary School.

Kit, our Business Development Consultant who is 49 from Stonegate, put his running shoes on to take part in North Europe's toughest mountain race, covering 1,814 metres uphill from start to finish. The Norwegian event, which is one of seven in the World Mountain Running Association (WMRA) Grand Prix mountain races, comprised of 600 competitors this year and took Kit 2:11:32 to complete, placing him 35th in his race to the snowy summit.

Kit says he "thrives on challenges, particularly mountain and long distance events". The remote location of the event meant Kit had to travel by plane, bus, boat and foot to finally arrive at the finish line, 1843 metres above sea level!

Kit took on the challenge to raise money for Stonegate Village School and the PSP Association - an organisation established the year his father unfortunately passed away from the progressive disease which affects sufferers' control over balance, movement, vision, speech and the ability to swallow.

With Infinity's help as his main sponsor, Kit so far has raised an impressive £1000.
